This piece is a map of the Oval, the main green space on Ohio State’s campus. Crisscrossed by various pathways, the space is a central location of community and collectivity on campus. Traversed and enjoyed by thousands of people a day, the space is full of layered stories and memories.
Using cyanotype paper, a photograph paper that reacts to light, I recreated a map of the Oval by mirroring the space’s pathways, buildings, and green space with found natural objects.
To the left: a map of The Oval, including pathways, streets, and nearby buildings.
