This piece honors the sacred link between food and family. Titled “Na zdravje,” or “cheers” in Slovenian, this series of prints explores the relationship between six different meals that are synonymous with my familial and personal identity.
From a Friday night fish fry eaten at the Slovenian social club in Cleveland, to a meal of sausage and tomatoes shared with my cousins in Slovenia, this piece explores the way a meal informs how you remember and relate to a place.
